When CPS is Out, NBGC is IN.

In the event of a Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) strike on October 17th and following, NBGC will be open for youth from 8 am-6 pm Monday-Friday for as long as a strike lasts.

NBGC offers throughout the year an out-of-school (after school) program when public, private and charter schools are closed due to non-attendance days and holidays. When schools are out, NBGC provides a safe, structured environment for kids grades kindergarten to 8th grade.

To help with unexpected staffing costs, all families enrolled full time in NBGC's after-school program will have a fee of $20 per day.
All families not enrolled in NBGC's after school program will have a fee of $60 per day. Financial assistance is available for families with financial challenges upon request.
Families need to make sure to send their child with a lunch, and NBGC will provide a snack in the late afternoon.
